7th December

These pictures I have borrowed from the blog Dronninghuset.

The blog is in Norwegian, so if you're lucky enough to be able to read in Norwegian you can find the post here.

The pictures are showing some beautiful angel chimes which reminds the writer about her childhood Christmases....

I

In today's Advent calendar you find a little "Santa-Claus-village". It was made by my father in the 1950s as a gift for my aunt. Many years later, in the 1980s she gave it to me as a present. And now I can't picture a Christmas without it....

Some of the "inhabitants" in the village...

5th December

Here comes "Santa Claus" - or actually three of this little fellow.... They come from a shop that used them as window decoration in the 1950s.

4th December

Today I'll show you a little video of some old Cristmas cards. It's made by my regular contributor Mimregubben and the Christmas cards are found here.

Have a nice Sunday!

3rd December

This is my Christmas favourite! It's a tiny little candlestick that's been with me for as long as I can remember. I even used to play with it when I was growing up in the 1960s. (Not a good idea, I think).

The candlestick is old and worn. A friend of mine broke it accidently one Christmas in the 1980s. But since I can't picture a Christmas without it I glued it together and repainted it. But now the paint is chipped again... Still, it's one of my favorite Christmas decorations.  Of course, I took it with me when I moved to Italy 3 years ago and I guess this will remain with me for the rest of my life...
